Shuttle to the Start of the Half Marathon and Quarter Marathon:
Traveling to the start in Velden (Half Marathon) and Pörtschach (Quarter Marathon) is simple and convenient by train. Directly across from Minimundus Klagenfurt (where you will find plenty of parking — see below) is the “Klagenfurt West” station. This is essentially the main hub for Kärnten Läuft.
From there, numerous trains depart towards Velden and Pörtschach (see train schedule on the right), and they can be used free of charge with your race bib. If you need to return to Pörtschach or Velden afterwards, your race bib serves as your ticket again. Traveling from Villach is also free with your race bib.
All trains departing from Klagenfurt West take you to both Velden and Pörtschach, since it is the same route. To reach Pörtschach, you simply get off earlier. Travel time is approximately 9 minutes to Pörtschach and 17 minutes to Velden.

Parking spaces in Velden and Pörtschach are limited.
Parking Options and Running City:
The Kärnten Läuft “Running City” is located directly at Metnitzstrand in Klagenfurt (next to the Wörthersee beach) and is easily accessible by car, train, bus, or bike.
Ample parking is available at the Lakeside parking area, located directly on the Südring. From there, the Running City is only a few minutes’ walk away. The train station for the athlete shuttle to the Half Marathon and Quarter Marathon start in Velden is also just a few meters from the parking area.
