A lot is new this year. For our 20th anniversary we want to give you something special and celebrate. What better way, than to combine all the best things from the last years with new innovations. We have new tracks for you and our finish lines and EXPO will be in the 30.000 person hosting Klagenfurter Wörthersee Stadium. You can be shure, that our tradional mixture of running pleasure and holiday feelings are guaranteed.
For our 20th anniversary we have something special for you. The Kleine Zeitung Wörthersee Halfmarathon starts in Velden, like we are used to, but as a treat for our athletes we run along the south side of the Wörthersee for the first time. A special highlight is the imposing finish in the Klagenfurter Wörthersee Stadium.
The AK Kärnten Viertelmarathon track is also new this year. You start in Krumpendorf and run along the beautiful Wörthersee, Lendchannel and Sattnitz and also finish in the Wörthersee Stadium. A finishline fit for a great running experience.
Our sideruns are also a great way to experience Kärnten Läuft. They all start and finish in and around the Wörthersee Stadium and lead you through beautiful scenery and along a calm river.
At Kärnten Läuft you can register for all events online via the registration platform until the beginning of August. You can find the registration link on the right.
If you still want to register after the pre-registration deadline (beginning of August), you still have the possibility to register during the event week.
Wörthersee Stadium on site:
Friday, August 20, 2021, 5:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 21, 2021, 07:00 a.m. – 20:00 p.m.
The last possible registration for a competition is one hour before the start!
Attention: On Sunday, August 22, 2021, no late registration or race number collection is possible.
ENTRY FEES
The registration fees are staggered. The time of registration decides the amount of the entry fee. The current fees can be found on the right under entry fee table 2021.
Shuttle service with ÖBB.
Also this year ÖBB offers the shuttle service at Kärnten Läuft. With ÖBB as a partner, it is guaranteed again this year that all participants will arrive on time at the start in Velden and Krumpendorf.
There is also a shuttle service installed between the running city and the trainstation klagnefurt west.
Saturday, 21. August 2021: from 06:15 to 08:15 – every 15 min.
Sunday, 22. August 2021: from 12:00 every 20 min
The participants of the quarter-, half-marathon and the Wörtherseewalk have the possibility to hand in their spare clothes or shoes in Velden and Krumpendorf and get them back at the finish. For organizational reasons, however, only clothing in the specially designed and numbered start bags can be accepted and stowed. At the start of the quartermarathon and the Wörthersee Walk on August 21st in Krumpendorf the drop-off is possible until 08:45 am. At the start of the half marathon on August 22nd in Velden the drop-off is possible until 8:45 am.
Once stowed bags can only be handed out again in the finish area, exclusively to the runners themselves, against presentation of the race number! The organizer does not assume any liability for the items handed in!
Clothes bags that are not collected will be stored at the Info-Corner on Sunday afternoon.
We would like to point out that you should not hand in any personal valuables such as Ipods, Ipads, cell phones, etc. We are not liable for the loss of your personal valuables.
With the Running City in the Wörthersee Stadion Klagenfurt the arrival possibilities to the event change of course. Please plan enough time for your arrival to be able to keep the start time.
Directly at the Wörthersee Stadium there are enough parking spaces reserved for Kärnten Läuft participants. Parking of vehicles at the designated stadium parking lot is free of charge.
The stadium can be reached via the Südring, which is easily accessible within a few minutes from the Minimundus freeway exit.
For the exact parking situation on site we will publish a site plan shortly.
The train station Wörthersee West is only a few minutes away from the Wörthersee Stadium and is ideal for getting to the Kärnten Läuft weekend. A shuttle between the train station and the stadium is available.
